Golden Gate Bridge from Twin Peaks, originally uploaded by Wiggum03.
The Golden Gate Bridge rising through low fog, seen from Twin Peaks. The fog really put on a great show that night.
Without question – best viewed large. I absolutely mean it. You’re getting robbed with the medium version. I should have uploaded an even higher resolution version. There is some serious detail in this photo.
While I waited 6 and half hours for the launch (I got there at 8:00pm), I did a lot of long-exposure stuff. This is probably my favorite of them all, though you’re gonna have to endure a few more (it was a good location for night photography, by golly!)
So many colors of light, the sand crane near the horizon on the left, the shadows of launch structures on the clouds, the pier, the reflections, the silky water… I LOVE this. I could spend days in the night hours at Space View Park in Titusville.
Oh, for night launches, there’s really no question as to which pad to watch

Door County Cosmos, originally uploaded by WisDoc.
Taken this past autumn in Door County, Wisconsin. It was a wonderful clear night away from the city lights and so many stars out – I couldn’t resist shooting some star trails:) Exposure time was just under 36 minutes.
