Seaburn Lighthouse

Seaburn Lighthouse, originally uploaded by Jockaye.

Assignment: PCA17 – Reflections for the Photography Critique Assignments Group

Mission
This one should be pretty straight forward, reflections. It can be reflections in water, mirrors, a window, etc. What ever you luck up on or your imagination can produce! Hopefully we will all produce images we will want to print and hang on our walls.

What it took
I was hoping to get a good reflection of the lighthouse but at the same time try to get some nice light. I was a bit inspired when Tiny commented that the difference between an amateur and a professional photographer is that the professional is willing to wait for the shot. I was down here for about three hours waiting for the light to dip. It was a good experience and it gave me the time to experiment with different shots. I have never done long exposure shots and this was one of my first on the evening.

In Photoshop
Slightly warmed up the colours. Cropped quite a bit. That was about it.

Exposure: 5 sec (5)
Aperture: f/22
Focal Length: 81 mm
ISO Speed: 100
